In our private piano lessons, we teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music to jazz. Whether you want to learn Beethoven or Alicia Keys, our piano teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. Our piano instructors will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, ear training, technique and theory, but we will also incorporate your favorite songs into your piano lessons. You do not need to have a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice to get started. Our qualified and friendly piano teachers make learning the piano an enjoyable experience for kids or adults!

How qualified are your piano instructors?
Our piano instructors are highly qualified, experience, and most importantly they have a passion for teaching. Being a good musician doesn't automatically make you a good teacher - that's why we search for those who are best qualified for mentoring our music students!
We recruit teachers locally in the Pearland and Houston area as well as from around the country. We look for teachers who embody the high values we share at Pearland School of Music. Many of our piano teachers have gone on performance tours of the USA and Europe and have years of professional performance and teaching experience. Most importantly thought, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student's learning style. So, in addition to their teaching credentials, it's important for our teachers have a warm, friendly personality and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. We search high and low for the BEST teachers, so you don't have to!

What will I learn from piano lessons at Pearland School of Music?

Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, our teachers are dedicated to helping you become the pianist you want to be. They will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, ear training, technique and theory, all while incorporating your favorite songs into your lessons.
Do I have to know how to read music?

Not at all! Beginners are welcome, and we teach all beginners note reading, music theory, ear training and proper technique.
Do I need a piano to learn the instrument?
​
No, you do not need a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice to get you started.
How long does it take to learn how to play piano?
​
There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn to play piano. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long-term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.

I don't have any musical background or ability. Can I still help my child practice?
​
Yes. Even if you don't have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child's music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands.

TUITION
Private Lessons: $38 per 30 minute private lesson held once a week, $152 per month.
There is a one-time registration fee of $30.00

Saturday 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Sunday 1:00PM - 6:00PM
Our School is Open 7 days a week:
